Group vs. Private Lessons
"Will our child fall behind if they do group lessons for too long?"
Possibly. But just like anything, we've found that the group versus private lessons debate has everything to do with the teacher and approach instead of the fact that it's a group-lesson format. If anything, we've found that kids in the group lessons are able to do far more things musically than kids in private lessons can after a few months to a couple of years. However, it's not for everyone and we certainly don't want anyone doing group lessons who can't benefit from them. Since 2007, CMA has become an authority on group lessons around the country.
