Goals and Expectations
"How often should our child practice? Should we practice with them at home?"
Questions like these are some of the most important ones to address as your child learns to play music. We don't buy into the old idea of "practice because we tell you to do it". Instead, the faculty at CMA is always searching for ways to motivate all of our students so that they want to practice. It's not as simple as just picking songs they enjoy or having more/less structure at home and in the lessons. We're always learning in this process and are happy to help guide you in this process. Based on our conversation, we'll select a teacher at CMA for your child to do a free trial lesson with to make sure we're the best fit for each other.
