Mason Lim

Mason Lim is a Seattle native who specializes in trumpet and piano. He is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education from the University of Washington, and aims to be a band teacher in a local school. An active performer, Mason plays around Seattle in brass bands, jazz combos, and hip hop group Huey and the Inflowentials. From kindergarten, Mason has taken piano lessons including time at CMA. A foundation of classical music led to jazz, and a fascination with improvised music.

With over 10 years of experience on trumpet, Mason has earned awards from local wind ensembles, jazz bands, and marching bands. Acceptance into jazz festivals allowed him to travel to Monterey, California, and Savannah, Georgia.

Mason is passionate taking on beginning students and building a musical foundation, as well as experienced middle-high school musicians wanting to take their playing to the next level.
