How to Return to Practice After a Break
Now that summer is winding down for a lot of us, we're trying to ramp up our practice schedules again after taking some time off during the summer. Even if we take a week or a few days off, sometimes it can be quite challenging to get back in the groove when it comes to practicing.
One thing that really helps is for you to think of it as starting all over. Rather than trying to go back and replay things you were playing a couple weeks or months ago to regain what you had, just start with something new. Then, if you want to come back to the old projects you were working on, you can revisit them in a month or two.
Jumping in and learning something new after a break is the best approach because it will keep your mind healthy, fresh, and looking forward to learning something new rather than trying to regain something you had in the past.
