How to Be Prepared for a Performance (Part 1)
With the recital coming up, here are a few pointers that can help you get ready for a performance. In this video, Michael talks about how to be prepared and what it means to be prepared. If you are extra prepared, then if you get nervous when something doesn't go the way you expect, it won’t affect your overall performance.
So how can you know if you're prepared? And how can you prepare in the best way possible? One simple thing you can do is practice playing in three separate speeds or tempos. For example, practice playing at the speed that you always play the song at, then play through the song at a very slow speed, and then at really fast speed. Alternate between these tempos.
